Google Chrome and Chromecast info and fixes

Having trouble with Google Music not able to connect to your Chromecast devices and Google Home speakers from a desktop browser?

Enable this one and I'll bet devices show up right away. Go to “chrome://flags/”(you’ll probably need to copy and paste in the address bar) in Chrome, then search for “#media-router-cast-allow-all-ips”(again, copy and paste or just search “cast” - CTRL + F gets you a search box for any page including the flags page) and change it to Enabled.

chrome://flags/

When you go there you will see the big warning about “EXPERIMENTAL FEATURES AHEAD!” and that you could lose data. I’m not sure how you could lose data on this one, but since they put the warning up, I suppose it’s possible. The sun turning green is also possible, but I’m doubtful it’s going to happen. I know that there are a few flags that really could cause trouble, on this one I am very doubtful you’ll have any issues. I use this one myself.

Connect to Cast devices on all IP addresses

Have the Media Router connect to Cast devices on all IP addresses, not just RFC1918/RFC4193 private addresses. – Mac, Windows, Linux, Chrome OS
